MEMS oscillator for harsh-environment clocking
The DSC1121DM3-032.0000T is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) from Microchip's DSC1121 series, delivering a 32 MHz CMOS output with ±20 ppm frequency stability across the full -55°C to 125°C military temperature range. Unlike quartz-based oscillators, the MEMS resonator handles shock and vibration better — relevant for avionics, downhole tools, or satellite payloads where a crystal can fracture or drift under G-load.
Housed in a 6-SMD no-lead package measuring 2.50 mm x 2.00 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm — the compact footprint fits tight PCB layouts, but the no-lead terminations require a solder-paste stencil aperture matched to the pad geometry for reliable reflow.
The DSC1121 series is a current production line from Microchip, so this part can be designed in without worrying about a near-term discontinuation.
