MEMS oscillator for harsh-environment timing
The DSC1121CM1-014.7456T is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) from Microchip's DSC1121 series, delivering a 14.7456 MHz CMOS output with ±50 ppm frequency stability across the full -55°C to 125°C military temperature range.
Supply and output flexibility
The wide supply range of 2.25V to 3.6V lets this oscillator run directly from a 2.5V or 3.3V rail without an intermediate LDO — simplifies the power tree in mixed-voltage designs and saves a regulator slot on the BOM. CMOS output is the standard logic level for most MCUs, FPGAs, and Ethernet PHYs — no level translation needed at the clock input.
Housed in a 6-SMD, no-lead package measuring 3.20mm x 2.50mm with a seated height of 0.90mm, this oscillator fits the standard 3.2x2.5mm land pattern used by many quartz oscillators — no board layout change needed when switching from a crystal-based part.
