MEMS oscillator for wide-temperature timing
The DSC1121CM1-005.5296 is a MEMS-based standard XO delivering a fixed 5.5296 MHz CMOS output — a clean clock for MCU cores, UART baud-rate generators, and low-speed serial interfaces that need a precise timebase without the shock sensitivity of a quartz crystal. The 2.25V to 3.6V supply range lets it run directly from a 2.5V or 3.3V rail without an intermediate regulator.
Frequency stability and enable/disable control
Absolute Pull Range is ±50 ppm, which sets the frequency accuracy over the full temperature and voltage range — tighter than commodity ±100 ppm oscillators, so serial protocols like RS-485 or CAN maintain bit timing margin across the -55°C to 125°C span.
Housed in a 6-VDFN package measuring 3.20 mm x 2.50 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm — a compact footprint that suits space-constrained PCBs in handheld or embedded modules.
The DSC1121 series remains a current design-in choice for new timing trees.
