Active production — 125 MHz MEMS oscillator for industrial timing
The DSC1121CL5-125.0000T is an active-production XO (Standard) from Microchip's DSC1121 series, delivering a 125 MHz CMOS output from a MEMS resonator. The MEMS die is inherently more shock- and vibration-tolerant than a quartz blank, and it starts up without the settling time a crystal needs — the output is valid within microseconds of power being applied. The Enable/Disable pin lets the system gate the output; when disabled the supply current drops from 35 mA to 22 mA, which matters for battery-powered equipment that sleeps between bursts.
Temperature grade and deployment fit
The ±10 ppm frequency stability holds the clock edge jitter within the timing budget for a 125 MHz SERDES or a high-speed ADC sample clock.
Package and board-fit note
The 6-VDFN package measures 3.20 mm x 2.50 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm — a compact footprint that fits on densely populated boards. Surface-mount assembly with standard reflow profiles; no special handling beyond the usual ESD precautions for CMOS devices.
