MEMS oscillator for industrial timing
The DSC1121CL5-033.3333T is a 33.3333 MHz MEMS-based XO (Standard) from Microchip's DSC1121 series. It replaces quartz crystal oscillators in applications where vibration resistance, faster start-up, and wider temperature range matter — the MEMS resonator is inherently more rugged than a quartz blank. Output is CMOS, compatible with most digital logic families (3.3V and 2.5V). The enable/disable function lets the system gate the clock without a separate buffer — useful for power-saving sleep modes.
Operating from 2.25V to 3.6V, this oscillator covers both 2.5V and 3.3V rails without a level translator. Frequency stability is ±10 ppm over the full temperature and voltage range (Absolute Pull Range). That is tight enough for most UART, I2C, and SPI links without needing a TCXO.
Housed in a 6-VDFN package measuring 3.20mm x 2.50mm with a seated height of 0.90mm. The small footprint saves board space compared to a quartz can; the surface-mount package reflows with standard lead-free profiles. Supplied on Tape & Reel (TR) for automated pick-and-place assembly.
Suitable for new designs and production builds.
