Automotive-grade MEMS oscillator for harsh environments
The DSC1121CL5-024.0000 is a 24 MHz XO (Standard) oscillator built on a MEMS resonator, qualified to AEC-Q100 — the automotive IC stress qualification covering temperature, humidity, and mechanical shock. CMOS output and a 2.25V to 3.6V supply range let it run directly from a 2.5V or 3.3V rail without an intermediate LDO, simplifying the power tree in an ECU or sensor module.
Frequency stability and supply tolerance
Frequency stability is ±10 ppm over the full temperature and voltage range — tight enough for CAN FD, FlexRay, and 100BASE-T1 clocking without external trimming. Maximum supply current is 35 mA in active mode and 22 mA when disabled via the Enable/Disable pin, allowing the system to gate the oscillator during low-power sleep states.
Housed in a 6-SMD, no-lead package measuring 3.20 mm x 2.50 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm — a standard 3.2 x 2.5 mm footprint that matches many quartz XO footprints, easing drop-in replacement. Surface-mount assembly with no exposed leads; the MEMS resonator inherently withstands higher shock and vibration than quartz, which is relevant for engine-mounted or transmission-mounted electronics.
