Automotive-grade MEMS clock source
The DSC1121CI2-012.0000 is a MEMS-based standard oscillator (XO) delivering a fixed 12 MHz CMOS output. The 2.25V to 3.6V supply range lets it run directly from a 3.3V or 2.5V rail without an intermediate LDO. Frequency stability is ±25 ppm, which is tight enough for a CAN bus or LIN node reference without needing an external trim capacitor.
Enable/Disable function for power sequencing
This is useful for sleep-mode power budgets in battery-backed automotive modules. The 6-SMD no-lead package (3.20 mm x 2.50 mm, 0.90 mm seated height) is a standard MEMS oscillator footprint — it drops into the same land pattern as many quartz-based XOs, making it a straight swap on existing boards.
Because this is a MEMS oscillator, there is no quartz supply-chain constraint; the base resonator is a semiconductor MEMS die, which follows the same fab capacity as the rest of Microchip's portfolio.
