33.3333 MHz MEMS XO – why this part exists
The DSC1121 family delivers a fixed 33.3333 MHz CMOS clock with enable/disable control, all in a 6-VDFN package measuring 3.20 mm x 2.50 mm.
Supply voltage spans 2.25 V to 3.6 V, covering both 2.5 V and 3.3 V logic rails without a level translator. Maximum supply current is 22 mA when enabled; the disable function drops draw to 35 µA typical. The wide input range means the same BOM line can serve mixed-voltage designs — a 2.5 V FPGA bank and a 3.3 V microcontroller share the same oscillator P/N.
Temperature grade and frequency stability
The industrial temperature range covers outdoor telecom, factory-floor controllers, and engine-bay electronics that see ambient swings beyond commercial-grade parts. ±50 ppm total stability includes temperature, supply, and aging effects — a 33.3333 MHz clock stays within ±1.67 kHz of nominal across the full envelope. For a UART baud clock or MCU core clock, this is tight enough to avoid bit-slip over a standard industrial temperature swing.
