MEMS oscillator for 48 MHz clocking
The DSC1121CE5-048.0000T is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) from Microchip's DSC1121 series, delivering a fixed 48 MHz CMOS output with ±10 ppm frequency stability. Supply voltage spans 2.25 V to 3.6 V, covering 2.5 V and 3.3 V logic rails without an external regulator.
Housed in a 6-VDFN package measuring 3.20 mm × 2.50 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm. The 0.50 mm pitch DFN footprint requires a solder-mask-defined pad and a via-in-pad layout for the centre ground pad — the datasheet shows the recommended land pattern. Surface-mount reflow per JEDEC MSL-1 is typical.
Temperature grade and deployment fit
This oscillator fits indoor equipment, office networking gear, test instruments, and consumer electronics. It is not qualified for -40°C industrial or automotive environments; for those, the DSC1121 series offers extended-temperature variants (check the -CE4 or -CE3 suffix).
