Frequency stability of ±25 ppm is tight enough for 16 MHz CAN, SPI, and UART links — the clock edge jitter from the MEMS resonator is lower than a typical quartz crystal's aging drift, so the bus timing margin stays consistent over temperature.
The DSC1121 family is still in volume production, so new designs and production replenishment carry no last-time-buy risk.
6-SMD footprint and board layout
The 6-SMD, No Lead package measures 5.00 mm × 3.20 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm — a standard ceramic oscillator footprint that matches common 6-pin clock modules.
