What this MEMS oscillator replaces in the field
The DSC1121BM1-024.0000 is a 24 MHz MEMS-based oscillator that drops straight into the footprint of a standard 5.0 mm × 3.2 mm quartz oscillator — same 6-SMD no-lead package, same CMOS output levels, no board spin required. Supply voltage spans 2.25V to 3.6V, so it works on a 2.5V or 3.3V rail without a separate regulator — one less part to source and one less decoupling cap to place.
Why the enable/disable pin matters on a production line
On a battery-powered or thermally constrained board, that saving per oscillator adds up across multiple clocks.
Active lifecycle — no last-time-buy scramble
No special handling beyond normal ESD precautions for a CMOS device.
