MEMS resonator and automotive qualification
The DSC1121BI5-010.0000 is a MEMS-based XO (standard oscillator) with CMOS output, replacing quartz-based resonators in applications demanding higher shock and vibration tolerance. The MEMS resonator eliminates quartz startup issues and frequency drift from mechanical stress. AEC-Q100 qualification means this part meets automotive-grade reliability testing for temperature cycling, ESD, and latch-up – suitable for under-hood or chassis-mounted ECUs where quartz oscillators may fail under vibration.
Frequency stability and supply range
This tight stability keeps the clock accurate for CAN, LIN, or FlexRay bus timing without external trim capacitors. Maximum supply current is 35 mA active and 22 mA in disable mode – the disable function lets the system cut clock power during sleep states.
Packaged in a 6-SMD no-lead (6-DFN) case measuring 5.00 mm x 3.20 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm. The 0.50 mm pitch pads require standard SMD reflow; no via-in-pad needed. The no-lead construction reduces parasitic inductance compared to a leaded package. Surface-mount mounting suits automated pick-and-place.
Product status is Active – no NRND or EOL notice. No official successor exists because the series remains active. Sourced through independent distribution on a quoted-to-order basis.
