MEMS oscillator for automotive and industrial clock trees
The DSC1121AI2-025.0006 is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) oscillator delivering a 25.0006 MHz CMOS output. The Enable/Disable function lets the system shut down the oscillator output without removing supply, useful for power-sensitive designs that gate the clock during sleep modes.
Supply voltage flexibility and current draw
The 2.25V to 3.6V supply range spans 2.5V and 3.3V logic rails, so the same part number can be used across a mixed-voltage board without a dedicated LDO for the oscillator. Maximum supply current is 35 mA when enabled, dropping to 22 mA when disabled — the disable current is still present because the internal MEMS resonator and PLL remain powered, so the disable pin gates only the output buffer.
Package and footprint for PCB layout
Housed in a 6-SMD, No Lead Exposed Pad package measuring 7.00 mm x 5.00 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm. The exposed pad on the underside should be soldered to a ground-plane thermal land — the datasheet's recommended footprint includes a central pad with via array to the inner ground layer. Surface-mount reflow profile follows standard JEDEC J-STD-020 for MSL level; the MEMS die is less moisture-sensitive than quartz, but the PCB bake and profile still apply per the manufacturer's handling notes.
Frequency stability and production status
For a 25.0006 MHz clock, ±25 ppm equals ±625 Hz, well within the capture range of most PLLs and MCU oscillators.
