AEC-Q100 Grade 1 MEMS oscillator for automotive clock trees
Microchip's DSC1121AI2-008.0000T is a 8 MHz MEMS-based XO (Standard) that outputs a CMOS clock signal. It carries AEC-Q100 qualification, meaning it meets the automotive reliability stress and PPAP documentation requirements for production parts in vehicle electronics. The Enable/Disable function lets the system shut down the clock to save power without pulling the oscillator from the board. The ±25 ppm frequency stability holds the clock accuracy needed for CAN, LIN, and basic MCU timing without a separate temperature compensation scheme.
Package, footprint, and supply current budget
Housed in a 6-SMD, No Lead Exposed Pad package measuring 7.00 mm x 5.00 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm. The exposed pad improves thermal conduction to the PCB ground plane. When disabled, the supply current drops to 22 mA max — enough to reduce the thermal load during sleep modes. The CMOS output swings rail-to-rail.
Active lifecycle — ordering and second-source check
It is sourced through independent distribution; quantities are confirmed and quoted per RFQ against the BOM line.
