Product details

The DSC1121AE2-156.2500T is a Microchip MEMS-based XO (Standard) oscillator delivering a 156.25 MHz CMOS output with ±25 ppm frequency stability across its -20°C to 70°C operating range. The MEMS resonator replaces a quartz crystal — no crystal load caps, no startup time concerns, and better shock/vibration immunity than a quartz oscillator in the same 7.0mm x 5.0mm 6-SMD package.

Wide supply tolerance and enable/disable control

Supply voltage range of 2.25V to 3.6V covers 2.5V and 3.3V rails without an extra regulator — the oscillator runs directly from the logic supply.

The 6-SMD, No Lead Exposed Pad package has a seated height of 0.035" (0.90mm) — fits tight card-edge profiles.

Frequently asked questions

Does DSC1121AE2-156.2500T have an enable/disable function?

Yes. When disabled, the max supply current drops from 35 mA to 22 mA.

Can DSC1121AE2-156.2500T replace a standard quartz oscillator?

Functionally yes — it is a drop-in replacement for a 156.25 MHz quartz oscillator in the same 7.0mm x 5.0mm 6-SMD footprint. The MEMS base resonator eliminates crystal load caps and offers better shock/vibration tolerance than quartz. Confirm the output type (CMOS) and supply voltage (2.25V-3.6V) match your design.
