MEMS XO at 50 MHz with automotive qualification
The DSC1121AE2-050.0000T is a Microchip MEMS-based XO (standard oscillator) delivering a fixed 50 MHz CMOS output with ±25 ppm frequency stability. Rated AEC-Q100, this part is qualified for automotive applications — the MEMS resonator and CMOS output stage together withstand the vibration and thermal cycling of under-hood or cabin environments, though the -20°C to 70°C operating range limits it to passenger compartment or infotainment domains rather than engine bay. The Enable/Disable function on pin 1 lets the system shut off the oscillator output without removing the supply, dropping current from 35 mA to 22 mA — useful for power-save modes in automotive ECUs or battery-backed telematics.
Operates from 2.25 V to 3.6 V, covering both 2.5 V and 3.3 V rails with a single BOM line — the 35 mA max supply current at 50 MHz is typical for a MEMS XO; the CMOS output swings rail-to-rail, so the load capacitance on the output trace sets the dynamic power more than the oscillator core.
Housed in a 6-SMD package with no lead and an exposed pad (7.00 mm × 5.00 mm footprint, 0.90 mm seated height).
