156.25 MHz MEMS clock source for automotive and industrial timing
The DSC1121AE1-156.2500 is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) oscillator delivering a 156.25 MHz CMOS output — a common reference frequency for 10 Gigabit Ethernet, PCIe Gen 3, and high-speed serial links. The MEMS resonator eliminates the quartz crystal's cold-start and vibration sensitivity, which matters when the board lives in an engine bay or on a factory floor. It is AEC-Q100 qualified, so the timing tree passes the reliability stress and temperature cycling required for under-hood or chassis-domain automotive ECUs. The -20 to 70°C operating range covers cabin and most industrial ambient conditions.
Supply voltage flexibility and enable/disable control
The supply voltage spans 2.25V to 3.6V, letting it run from a 2.5V or 3.3V rail without an extra LDO. The enable/disable function pulls the output to high-impedance when disabled, reducing current draw to 22 mA max from the 35 mA max active supply current — useful for power-gating the clock tree during sleep modes.
Package and footprint for PCB layout
Housed in a 6-SMD, No Lead Exposed Pad package measuring 7.00 mm x 5.00 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm. The exposed pad on the underside should be soldered to a ground-plane thermal land to keep the oscillator's frequency drift within the ±50 ppm stability spec across temperature.
