Product details

MEMS timing for 100 MHz HCSL clocks

The DSC1104NI2-100.0000T is a 100 MHz MEMS-based XO (Standard) with HCSL output, built on Microchip's DSC1104 series. The MEMS resonator replaces the quartz crystal — no crystal aging, no cold-start frequency overshoot, and a shorter factory lead time than a comparable quartz oscillator. HCSL output is the standard for PCIe reference clocks and other high-speed differential buses.

Standby power-down for battery-sensitive designs

The standby (power down) function pulls the disable current to 95 µA max — low enough to leave the oscillator on a shared power rail without a dedicated load switch. When enabled, the active supply max is 42 mA.

Product status is Active.

Frequently asked questions

Can DSC1104NI2-100.0000T replace a standard 100 MHz quartz oscillator?

Yes, if the original oscillator is a 100 MHz XO with HCSL output and a 6-SMD no-lead footprint (7.0 x 5.0 mm). The MEMS resonator eliminates quartz aging and cold-start drift. Confirm the pinout matches your layout — the DSC1104 series uses a standard 6-pin timing footprint.
