156.25 MHz HCSL MEMS oscillator for high-speed serial clocks
The DSC1104BE1-156.2500T is a Microchip MEMS-based XO (Standard) oscillator delivering a 156.25 MHz HCSL output — the exact frequency required by PCIe Gen1/2/3 reference clocks and 10GbE SerDes PLLs. The HCSL (High-Speed Current Steering Logic) output swings 700-900 mV peak-to-peak into a 50-ohm terminated differential pair, matching the input requirements of Intel and AMD chipset clock trees without external level translation. Supply voltage spans 2.25V to 3.6V, so the same oscillator runs from a 2.5V or 3.3V rail — no separate LDO needed for the clock section.
Microchip lists the DSC1104BE1-156.2500T as Active.
In a multi-oscillator design, gating unused clocks via this pin saves measurable board power without a load switch.
