Product details

145.2 MHz HCSL reference — active, no LTB pressure

The DSC1104AE2-145.2000T is a MEMS-based XO delivering a 145.2 MHz HCSL output from a 2.25V to 3.6V supply rail. The HCSL (High-Speed Current Steering Logic) output is the standard for PCIe reference clocks — the differential swing and common-mode levels match the PCIe Base Spec without external level translation. Absolute Pull Range is ±25 ppm, which covers the spread-spectrum and holdover requirements for PCIe Gen1 and Gen2 reference clocks.

In active mode the oscillator draws 42 mA max at 145.2 MHz. This makes the part suitable for gated clock domains where the reference is shut down during system sleep.

Housed in a 6-VDFN exposed-pad package measuring 7.00 mm × 5.00 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm.

Frequently asked questions

What is the output type of DSC1104AE2-145.2000T?

HCSL (High-Speed Current Steering Logic). This is the differential output standard used for PCIe reference clocks. The output swing and common-mode voltage are compatible with PCIe Gen1/Gen2/Gen3 receivers without external bias resistors.

Can I use DSC1104AE2-145.2000T as a drop-in replacement for a quartz oscillator?

Pin-compatible with many 7.0 mm × 5.0 mm quartz oscillators in the same 6-VDFN footprint. The MEMS resonator has a faster startup time (sub-1 ms) and better shock/vibration tolerance than quartz. However, the output is HCSL, not LVCMOS — confirm that the downstream receiver accepts HCSL levels before substituting.
