148.5 MHz LVDS oscillator for video and broadcast timing
The DSC1103DI2-148.5000T is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) from Microchip's DSC1103 series, delivering a 148.5 MHz LVDS output with ±25 ppm frequency stability. That frequency is the standard pixel clock for 1080p and 4K video formats — if you are clocking an HDMI transmitter, a broadcast encoder, or a professional camera interface, this is the oscillator the reference design calls out. The LVDS differential output keeps jitter low over long PCB traces and rejects common-mode noise from adjacent switching supplies — a clean clock matters more at 148.5 MHz than at lower frequencies because the eye diagram closes faster.
Industrial temperature range and wide supply tolerance
The supply voltage accepts 2.25V to 3.63V, covering both 2.5V and 3.3V rails without an intermediate regulator.
The 6-SMD No Lead package (2.50mm x 2.00mm x 0.90mm seated height) is a standard MEMS oscillator footprint shared across the DSC1103 family. The same land pattern works for the full frequency range of the series, so a board spin to change frequency does not require a layout change.
