180 MHz LVDS clock with MEMS resonator
The DSC1103CI2-180.0000T is a 180 MHz XO (Standard) delivering an LVDS output from a MEMS resonator — no quartz crystal inside. Frequency stability is ±25 ppm across the full -40 to 85°C industrial range, so the clock edge position drifts less than 140 ps over temperature — tight enough to hold the bit-error rate on a 1 GbE link without a separate TCXO.
The disable current is low enough that a coin cell can hold the oscillator in standby for months without draining the battery. The supply accepts 2.25 V to 3.63 V, covering 2.5 V and 3.3 V rails without an external regulator. Maximum active current is 32 mA at 180 MHz — the LVDS output stage dominates the draw; the MEMS core itself consumes under 10 mA.
The DSC1103 series is Microchip's standard MEMS oscillator family; the DSC1103CI2-180.0000T is a current catalog item available through independent distribution.
6-SMD, No Lead package measuring 3.20 mm x 2.50 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm — fits standard 3.2 x 2.5 mm oscillator footprints. The no-lead construction reduces parasitic inductance compared to a ceramic SMD package, which helps maintain clean LVDS edges at 180 MHz.
