50 MHz LVDS MEMS oscillator — what it brings to the clock tree
The DSC1103AE2-050.0000 is a 50 MHz LVDS oscillator built on a MEMS resonator, not a quartz crystal — which means it shrugs off the vibration and shock that can pull a quartz oscillator off frequency in a motor drive or a panel that gets banged around during shipping. Supply voltage spans 2.25V to 3.63V — you can run it off a 2.5V or 3.3V rail without an extra LDO, and the 32 mA max supply current is the number to budget in the power tree.
The Standby (Power Down) pin drops the supply current to 95 µA max — low enough that you can leave the oscillator on a shared 3.3V rail and let the GPIO toggle it off during system sleep without a dedicated power switch.
