Active MEMS oscillator for 106.25 MHz LVDS clock trees
The DSC1103AE1-106.2500 is an active-production XO (Standard) from Microchip's DSC1103 series, delivering a 106.25 MHz LVDS output from a MEMS resonator — a combination that targets high-speed serial interfaces such as 10GbE, where LVDS common-mode rejection keeps jitter low across a backplane or cable.
The 2.25V to 3.63V supply range lets it run from a 2.5V or 3.3V rail without an extra regulator — one less BOM line to qualify.
Package footprint and board layout notes
Housed in a 6-SMD, no-lead exposed-pad package measuring 7.00 mm x 5.00 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm — the exposed pad should be soldered to a ground-plane island with thermal vias to keep the MEMS die at a stable temperature and improve frequency accuracy.
