125 MHz LVPECL timing source with MEMS reliability
The LVPECL output delivers the fast edge rates and low jitter needed for clocking high-speed SERDES, Ethernet PHYs, and FPGA reference inputs. Supply voltage spans 2.25V to 3.6V, so the same BOM line works across 2.5V and 3.3V rails without a separate regulator or level translator.
Microchip lists the DSC1102BI2-125.0000 as Active. The 6-SMD, No Lead package (5.00mm x 3.20mm, 0.90mm seated height) is a standard MEMS oscillator footprint shared across the DSC1102 family. The same PCB land pattern can accept other DSC1102 frequency variants if the BOM needs a last-minute clock change.
58 mA max supply current — budget the rail
The oscillator draws 58 mA max during active operation. In a multi-oscillator design — say, one for the FPGA reference and another for the transceiver — sum the draws; a single LDO feeding both should be sized for 116 mA plus margin.
