Unlike quartz crystal oscillators, the MEMS resonator is inherently more resistant to shock and vibration — a practical advantage for motor drives, outdoor telecom enclosures, and factory-floor controllers where mechanical stress can pull a quartz fundamental off frequency.

Supply voltage and power-down flexibility

The wide supply range of 2.25V to 3.6V lets this oscillator run directly from a 2.5V or 3.3V rail without an intermediate LDO — one less component in the timing tree. A Standby (Power Down) function drops the supply current to 95 µA max when the enable pin is de-asserted, versus 35 mA max during active oscillation. For battery-powered or intermittently-sleeping equipment, this gate saves meaningful standby power.

Housed in a 6-VDFN package measuring 7.00mm x 5.00mm x 0.90mm, the DSC1101NI2-025.0000T occupies a compact footprint on the PCB. The surface-mount package is supplied on Tape & Reel, compatible with standard pick-and-place assembly.
