100 MHz MEMS oscillator for harsh-environment timing
The DSC1101DM2-100.0000 is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) oscillator delivering a 100 MHz CMOS output with ±25 ppm frequency stability across the full -55°C to 125°C military temperature range. Unlike quartz crystal oscillators, the MEMS resonator in this series offers inherent resistance to shock and vibration — a meaningful reliability advantage in avionics, downhole drilling, and satellite payloads where the board sees sustained G-loading.
Supply flexibility and standby power savings
The 2.25V to 3.6V supply range lets this oscillator run directly from a 2.5V or 3.3V rail without an intermediate LDO, simplifying the power tree on multi-voltage boards.
No pin-compatible second source is documented, but the DSC1101 series shares the same footprint across frequency variants, so a BOM change to a different DSC1101 frequency keeps the same PCB layout.
6-VDFN package and board integration
Housed in a 6-VDFN package measuring 2.50 mm x 2.00 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm, the DSC1101DM2-100.0000 fits tight-profile designs. The surface-mount footprint is straightforward for standard reflow assembly; no special via-in-pad or buried-via fan-out is required.
