MEMS resonator for harsh environments
At 125°C, a quartz oscillator often drifts past its stability spec; the MEMS structure holds ±25 ppm across the full band without a separate oven or compensation loop.
The 2.25V to 3.6V supply range lets this oscillator run directly off a 3.3V or 2.5V rail — no extra LDO needed. At 35 mA max supply current, it draws less than most quartz oscillators at the same frequency. For a battery-powered sensor node that sleeps 99% of the time, that disable current is below the MCU's own sleep-mode leakage.
Housed in a 6-VDFN package measuring 2.50 mm x 2.00 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm. The 0.50 mm pitch QFN-style footprint requires a solder paste stencil with 0.25 mm aperture for the centre pad — standard for any shop running QFN reflow.
Active lifecycle, no direct replacement
The base product number DSC1101 covers multiple frequency and stability variants; the DM2 suffix selects 24 MHz with ±25 ppm stability. No pin-compatible second source or successor is listed by Microchip, so the BOM is locked to this order code.
