MEMS oscillator for wide-temperature clocking
The DSC1101DM1-040.0000 is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) from Microchip Technology's DSC1101 series, delivering a 40 MHz CMOS output with ±50 ppm frequency stability. The MEMS resonator replaces a quartz crystal, giving better shock and vibration immunity and faster start-up than a conventional oscillator.
Standby function and wide supply flexibility
A dedicated Standby (Power Down) pin disables the output and drops supply current to 95 µA max, useful for battery-powered or intermittent-duty systems that need to gate the clock tree. The supply voltage range of 2.25 V to 3.6 V covers common 2.5 V and 3.3 V logic rails without an external LDO, simplifying power distribution.
Package and board-fit considerations
Housed in a 6-VDFN package measuring 2.50 mm x 2.00 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm, this oscillator occupies minimal PCB area and suits space-constrained designs. Maximum supply current is 35 mA at 40 MHz, so the thermal dissipation in the small package is manageable even at the high end of the temperature range.
Quoted to order against the BOM quantity through independent distribution.
