The DSC1101DI5-031.2500 is a fixed-frequency XO (Standard) clock oscillator built on a MEMS resonator, not a quartz crystal — that means it handles the shock and vibration of a factory-floor motor drive or an outdoor telecom cabinet better than a quartz can, and it starts up without the long settling time of a crystal oscillator.
Supply voltage and standby power-down
The supply voltage spans 2.25V to 3.6V, so it runs on either a 2.5V or 3.3V rail without a separate LDO — one less component on the BOM. A Standby (Power Down) function drops the supply current to 95 µA max when the enable pin is pulled low, which lets a battery-powered design shut the oscillator off between active bursts and save the 35 mA max operating current.
Package and board layout
The 6-VDFN package measures 2.50 mm x 2.00 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm — a compact footprint that fits under a low-profile enclosure or next to a BGA device on a dense PCB. Surface-mount assembly; the 6-pin DFN uses a centre pad for thermal and mechanical stability — ensure the PCB land pattern includes a via array under the pad for solder reflow outgassing.
Sourced through independent distribution; quoted to order against the BOM quantity.
