MEMS resonator shrinks the clock footprint
The DSC1101DE5-012.2880T is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) that replaces a quartz crystal and load capacitors with a silicon resonator sealed in a 6-VDFN package measuring 2.50 mm × 2.00 mm. The MEMS construction eliminates quartz start-up time and reduces sensitivity to vibration and shock — relevant for portable or industrial equipment where a quartz can micro-crack under mechanical stress.
12.288 MHz with ±10 ppm stability across temperature
Output frequency is 12.288 MHz with a frequency stability of ±10 ppm over the -20 to 70 °C operating range. That stability holds without external tuning — the MEMS resonator is factory-calibrated. Maximum supply current is 95 µA — low enough for battery-powered designs that keep the clock running in sleep modes.
Standby function for power gating
When the enable pin is de-asserted, the output is tri-stated and the internal oscillator stops, dropping current consumption to near zero. This lets the system power-gate the clock tree during deep sleep without an external load switch.
