MEMS clock source for 5.25 MHz CMOS rails
The DSC1101DE1-005.2500 is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) oscillator delivering a 5.25 MHz CMOS output with ±50 ppm frequency stability across its -20 to 70°C operating range. Unlike a quartz crystal oscillator, the MEMS resonator is immune to vibration-induced frequency shifts and has a faster start-up time — useful in portable or industrial equipment where the clock must be stable immediately on power-up.
The supply voltage range of 2.25 V to 3.6 V covers common 2.5 V and 3.3 V logic rails without an external LDO, simplifying the power tree.
Housed in a 6-VDFN package measuring 2.50 mm x 2.00 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm, the oscillator fits compact PCB layouts where board area is tight — typical for handheld instruments or sensor modules. Surface-mount assembly with the 6-VDFN footprint requires standard reflow profiling; no special via-in-pad or thermal management is needed for this low-power device.
