100 MHz MEMS oscillator for extreme-temperature clocks
The DSC1101CM5-100.0000 is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) oscillator delivering a 100 MHz CMOS output with ±10 ppm frequency stability across the full -55°C to 125°C military temperature range. That temperature grade is the key differentiator: most quartz oscillators drift or fail above 85°C, but this MEMS resonator holds frequency through the thermal extremes you see in avionics, downhole drilling, or satellite bus clocks. The supply voltage range spans 2.25V to 3.6V, so it runs directly off a 3.3V or 2.5V rail without an intermediate regulator.
Microchip lists the DSC1101CM5-100.0000 as obsolete. No last-time-buy window remains open.
The 6-SMD, no-lead package measures 3.20 mm x 2.50 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm. That 0.126" x 0.098" footprint is common among MEMS oscillators in this frequency range, so a layout designed for a similar 6-pin MEMS XO should accept this part without a board spin.
