100 MHz MEMS clock source for industrial timing
The DSC1101CL2-100.0000T is a 100 MHz MEMS-based oscillator from Microchip's DSC1101 series, delivering a CMOS output in a compact 6-VDFN package measuring 3.20mm x 2.50mm. Frequency stability is ±25 ppm across the full temperature range, which keeps the clock edge jitter within budget for a 100 MHz Ethernet PHY or a high-speed ADC sample clock.
Supply flexibility and power-down mode
The supply voltage spans 2.25V to 3.6V, so it runs directly from a 2.5V or 3.3V rail without an extra LDO — the wide tolerance also helps when the rail droops under load. A standby (power-down) function drops the supply current to 95 µA max when the clock is not needed, useful for battery-operated equipment that cycles between active and sleep states. Active current draw is 35 mA max at 100 MHz — a reasonable budget for a MEMS oscillator at this frequency, leaving headroom in the system power allocation.
