MEMS oscillator for industrial timing
The MEMS resonator replaces a quartz crystal, offering inherent shock and vibration tolerance compared to conventional crystal oscillators — a consideration for equipment exposed to mechanical stress during transport or operation.
Supply range and power-down capability
Operates from a 2.25V to 3.6V supply rail, covering common 2.5V and 3.3V logic domains without an external regulator. The Standby (Power Down) function reduces current consumption to 95 µA max when the output is disabled, allowing the oscillator to be gated off in low-power sleep states while maintaining fast wake-up. Active current draw is 35 mA max at 50 MHz, typical for a CMOS-output MEMS oscillator at this frequency.
Housed in a 6-SMD No Lead package measuring 3.20 mm x 2.50 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm — a compact footprint suitable for space-constrained PCB layouts. Supplied on Tape & Reel for automated pick-and-place assembly.
Listed as Active by Microchip Technology — the part is in production and available for new designs and volume orders.
