MEMS oscillator with standby — 24 MHz fixed output
The DSC1101CE3-024.0000T is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) from Microchip's DSC1101 series, delivering a fixed 24 MHz CMOS output. The MEMS resonator replaces a quartz crystal, offering inherent shock and vibration tolerance compared to a conventional crystal oscillator. It operates from a 2.25V to 3.6V supply rail, covering 2.5V, 3.0V, and 3.3V logic families without an intermediate regulator. Maximum supply current is 35 mA. The standby (power-down) function reduces current draw to 95 µA max when disabled, making it suitable for battery-powered or duty-cycled systems that need to conserve power between active periods.
Package and temperature grade — commercial indoor use
Housed in a 6-VDFN package measuring 3.20mm x 2.50mm with a seated height of 0.90mm, the DSC1101CE3-024.0000T fits compact PCB layouts typical of consumer, office, and telecom equipment. The surface-mount footprint is standard for VDFN; no special via-in-pad or thermal management is required. Rated for -20°C to 70°C operating temperature, this part is specified for commercial environments — indoor electronics, networking gear, and appliances. It is not qualified for extended industrial or automotive temperature ranges.
