49.152 MHz MEMS oscillator with standby power-down
Supply voltage spans 2.25V to 3.6V, making it compatible with 2.5V and 3.3V logic rails without an external regulator. Maximum supply current is 95 µA — low enough for always-on clocking in battery-operated equipment, where every microamp matters.
Standby function and MEMS reliability
A dedicated Standby (Power Down) pin lets the system shut down the oscillator when the clock is not required, dropping current consumption to near zero for sleep-mode power savings. The MEMS base resonator offers better shock and vibration tolerance than quartz crystals — relevant for portable or fan-cooled equipment where mechanical stress can cause quartz to drift or fail.
Package and PCB footprint
Housed in a 6-SMD, No Lead package measuring 3.20mm x 2.50mm with a seated height of 0.90mm — a compact footprint that fits tight layout budgets on multi-layer boards. Surface-mount assembly; the no-lead design reduces parasitic inductance compared to gull-wing packages, preserving signal integrity at 49.152 MHz.
Listed as Active by Microchip Technology — no EOL or NRND notice on file, so it remains suitable for new designs and production builds. Supplied in Tape & Reel (TR) packaging for automated pick-and-place; quoted to order against the BOM quantity.
