MEMS clock source for 45.1584 MHz CMOS rails
The DSC1101CE2-045.1584T is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) from Microchip's DSC1101 series, delivering a fixed 45.1584 MHz CMOS output. The MEMS resonator replaces a quartz crystal, giving better shock and vibration tolerance in a smaller footprint — the 6-SMD no-lead package measures just 3.20 mm x 2.50 mm.
The MEMS construction also avoids the long lead times sometimes seen with quartz-based oscillators, since the resonator is fabricated in a standard semiconductor fab rather than cut and tuned from a crystal blank.
Power budget and package fit
Maximum supply current is 95 µA, which is low enough for always-on clock domains in battery-operated equipment. The CMOS output is compatible with most MCU and FPGA clock inputs — no level translation needed when the oscillator supply matches the logic supply.
