The DSC1101CE1-024.5760 is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) from Microchip's DSC1101 series, delivering a 24.576 MHz CMOS output from a 6-VDFN package measuring 3.20 mm x 2.50 mm. The MEMS resonator replaces the quartz crystal — the part is inherently more shock- and vibration-tolerant than a traditional crystal oscillator, and it starts up faster because there is no crystal startup time. Operating temperature is -20°C to 70°C, the commercial grade band. This limits deployment to indoor, office, and consumer environments — not rated for the -40°C floor of industrial or automotive applications.
Standby function and disable current
The Standby (Power Down) function lets the system gate the oscillator output off, dropping the supply current to 95 µA max in the disabled state — useful for battery-powered equipment that sleeps between active periods. Active supply current is 35 mA max at full rated frequency and load — a typical figure for a MEMS oscillator at 24.576 MHz driving a CMOS load.
