What this MEMS oscillator replaces and why
Output is CMOS, which means it drives logic-level inputs directly without an external level translator — the 2.25V to 3.6V supply range covers both 2.5V and 3.3V rails, so one BOM line serves designs that switch core voltages.
Temperature grade and deployment fit
Frequency stability is ±50 ppm across that range, which keeps the UART baud-rate error below 2% at 115200 bps and holds the CAN bus bit timing within the 1.5% tolerance window — no external trimming capacitor needed.
Active-mode supply current is 35 mA max at 12.5 MHz — the CMOS output swing is rail-to-rail, so the dynamic current scales with load capacitance; a 15 pF load draws roughly the same current as a 5 pF load at this frequency.
Package and board layout note
6-SMD, No Lead package, 5.00 mm x 3.20 mm body, 0.90 mm seated height — the land pattern is the same as a standard 6-pin QFN, so the PCB footprint matches many quartz oscillators in the same form factor.
