MEMS oscillator at 24.576 MHz – what it replaces
Unlike a quartz crystal oscillator, the MEMS resonator is less susceptible to vibration and shock, and it eliminates the quartz supply-chain dependency.
Industrial temperature and wide supply rail
The supply voltage spans 2.25 V to 3.6 V, so it runs off a 3.3 V or 2.5 V rail without an extra regulator — one less BOM line to manage.
Frequency stability and output drive
The CMOS output swings rail-to-rail and sinks or sources up to 35 mA max, enough to drive a few fan-out loads on a short PCB trace without a buffer.
Active lifecycle – no LTB clock ticking
Microchip lists the DSC1101BI2-024.5760T as Active. Procurement can plan normal replenishment cycles without obsolescence pressure.
