4 MHz MEMS oscillator with full military temperature range
The DSC1101AM2-004.0000: The MEMS resonator replaces a quartz crystal, which means the oscillator tolerates the vibration and thermal shock typical of avionics, downhole instrumentation, and satellite payloads better than a conventional crystal oscillator.
Supply voltage and power consumption
Operating from 2.25V to 3.6V, this oscillator runs directly off a 2.5V or 3.3V rail without an intermediate LDO — one less part to source and place. Maximum supply current is 35 mA when active; the standby (power-down) function drops draw to 95 µA max, which matters for battery-backed real-time clocks or systems that cycle power between measurement intervals.
Housed in a 6-SMD, No Lead Exposed Pad package measuring 7.00 mm × 5.00 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm — the footprint is compatible with standard 7×5 mm oscillator pads, so a layout designed for a quartz oscillator can often take this MEMS part without a board spin. Surface-mount assembly; the exposed pad on the underside should be soldered to a ground plane for the best thermal and electrical performance, especially in the upper temperature range.
Sourced through independent distribution; quoted to order against the BOM quantity.
