MEMS oscillator with CMOS output for 7.68 MHz timing
The DSC1101AE5-007.6800T is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) oscillator delivering a 7.68 MHz CMOS output. The MEMS resonator replaces a quartz crystal, offering improved shock and vibration tolerance compared to conventional crystal oscillators. Frequency stability is rated at ±10 ppm, tight enough for most Ethernet, USB, and general-purpose clocking requirements without external trimming.
Rated for -20°C to 70°C, this is a commercial-temperature oscillator suited for indoor equipment, office electronics, and appliance PCBs. It is not qualified for extended industrial or automotive ambient ranges. The 6-SMD package (7.00 mm x 5.00 mm, 0.90 mm seated height) is a standard footprint for MEMS oscillators. The exposed pad provides a thermal path to the PCB ground plane.
Standby function and power-down current
A standby (power-down) function disables the output and reduces supply current to 95 µA maximum, useful for battery-powered or duty-cycled systems where the clock can be gated during sleep. Active supply current is 35 mA maximum at 7.68 MHz, typical for a MEMS oscillator driving a CMOS load.
Product status is Active per Microchip's lifecycle designation. Supplied in Tape & Reel (TR) packaging for automated pick-and-place assembly. Sourced through independent distribution; quoted to order against the BOM quantity.
