170 MHz MEMS clock source — what it replaces
It replaces a quartz-based oscillator in the same 7.0×5.0 mm 6-SMD footprint, but draws only 95 µA max supply current — roughly one-tenth the draw of a comparable quartz oscillator at this frequency. The MEMS die also withstands higher shock and vibration, which reduces field failures in equipment that sees mechanical stress during shipping or operation.
Supply voltage and standby function
Supply voltage range is 2.25V to 3.6V, covering 2.5V and 3.3V rails without an external regulator.
It fits indoor networking gear, office equipment, and consumer electronics. Not specified for -40°C industrial ambient or under-hood automotive; if the BOM calls for wider temperature, the DSC1101 series offers industrial-temp variants (check the base product number suffix).
