MEMS clock with a standby gate
The DSC1101AE1-016.0000 is a MEMS-based XO (standard oscillator) that delivers a 16 MHz CMOS clock from a 2.25V to 3.6V supply rail.
Runs on a 2.25V to 3.6V supply, so it sits on a 3.3V or 2.5V rail without a separate regulator — the wide tolerance covers droop on a lightly loaded 3.3V bus.
Package and rework note
Housed in a 6-VDFN with exposed pad, 7.00 x 5.00 mm footprint, 0.90 mm seated height. The VDFN package reflows cleanly under a hot-air station if the pad is properly tinned; the exposed pad wicks solder fast, so keep the preheat ramp gentle to avoid tombstoning the MEMS die inside.
Listed as Active by Microchip — no NRND or EOL flag. Part of the DSC1101 series; the base product number DSC1101 covers multiple frequency and stability options, so a BOM change to a different frequency within the family keeps the same footprint and supply voltage.
