18.432 MHz MEMS oscillator – fit and function
The 18.432 MHz frequency is a standard multiple for generating common UART baud rates (115200, 57600, etc.) and USB clocking – it is the most likely reason this part was selected in the original design. The 3 mA typical supply current (max) and 1 µA standby current (disable) make it suitable for battery-powered or low-power designs where the oscillator is gated off between active periods.
Housed in a 4-SMD, No Lead package measuring 2.50 mm x 2.00 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm.
