2.048 MHz MEMS XO — the E1 timing reference
The DSC1033CI1-002.0480 is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) from Microchip's PureSilicon™ series, delivering a 2.048 MHz CMOS output from a 3.3 V supply. That 2.048 MHz is the framing rate — this oscillator was designed into telecom timing modules, T1/ line cards, and base station synchronisation circuits where the frequency tolerance matters more than the absolute accuracy of a crystal.
Standby function — 1 µA power-down current
That is the entire oscillator going to sleep — no output, no internal bias. For a battery-backed line card or a remote sensor node that wakes on a periodic schedule, the 1 µA sleep current extends shelf life without a load switch on the 3.3 V rail.
Microchip has discontinued the DSC1033CI1-002.0480 — the product status is marked Obsolete. For a board that already carries this oscillator, the only path is surplus or independent distribution.
