MEMS oscillator that sidesteps quartz lead-time traps
The DSC1033BI1-030.0000T is a MEMS-based XO from Microchip's PureSilicon™ series, delivering a 30 MHz CMOS output with ±50 ppm frequency stability across the full -40 to +85°C industrial range.
Power budget: 3 mA active, 1 µA asleep
For a battery-powered sensor logging data once per second, the standby current is below the self-discharge of a CR2032 coin cell, so the oscillator does not shorten shelf life.
Footprint and supply-rail fit
Housed in a 5.00 mm x 3.20 mm 4-SMD no-lead package with a seated height of 0.90 mm, the DSC1033BI1-030.0000T fits the standard 5.0 x 3.2 mm oscillator footprint used across MCU and FPGA reference-clock designs. The 3.3 V supply rail is shared by the majority of 32-bit MCUs and FPGAs in this class, so no additional voltage regulator or level translator is needed on the clock input.
