MEMS oscillator with standby — what the specs mean for the BOM
Microchip has classified the DSC1033AI2-008.0000T as Obsolete. The part ships in Tape & Reel (TR) packaging, no-lead exposed-pad footprint (7.00 mm x 5.00 mm x 0.90 mm).
Design-in note: standby function and the enable pin
The standby (power-down) function is the key feature that distinguishes this oscillator from simpler fixed-output XOs. The output goes high-impedance — the downstream load sees a floating clock line, so the receiving device must handle a clock-loss condition gracefully or have a pull-down on the clock input. The ±25 ppm stability is specified at 3.3 V ±10% — keep the supply rail within that tolerance across the load range to avoid frequency drift.
