48 MHz MEMS clock — CMOS output, 3.3V rail
The DSC1033AE1-048.0000 is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) from Microchip's PureSilicon™ series, delivering a 48 MHz CMOS output from a 3.3V supply. The 4 mA typical supply current (max 4 mA) keeps the thermal contribution low in a dense layout.
Standby function for power-sensitive BOMs
This is useful in battery-operated or intermittently-powered designs where the clock can be gated off between active periods, saving the 4 mA active draw when the system sleeps.
Housed in a 4-SMD, No Lead Exposed Pad package measuring 7.00 mm × 5.00 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm. The 0.276" × 0.197" footprint is a common 7×5 mm oscillator land pattern — it drops onto the same pads as many quartz XOs, so a board layout designed for a standard 7×5 mm can accept this MEMS part without a respin.
This is a current-design-in part, not a last-time-buy or obsolete line. No pin-compatible second source is documented, but the DSC1033 family footprint is standard 7×5 mm, so a quartz XO with the same pinout and supply voltage can serve as a functional alternative if availability shifts.
